I’m preparing for two long winter camping/volunteer trips, and I’m also an avid hiker/trail-runner. I needed some more base layers in a variety of weights since where I’m headed, I’ll be in the mountains, and doing a lot of strenuous hiking/trail maintenance work in changing conditions.I saw these pants and loved the color and material description - it was exactly what I wanted, except it’s a youth boys size. I did some measuring, and I thought that the largest size would fit me - and it does!I am 5’4” and 128 lbs and have an hourglass shape. My mid-section and bottom are smushy, not toned (regardless of what I do- I’m just like that). Although of course, the waist on these pants is fitted for male bodies that don’t have big hips, the pants fit great on me, and yes, they were a little snug around my mid-section, but not uncomfortably or noticeably so. These would work especially well for women that are less bottom/hip curvy, but they stretch attractively and work great for me too, especially since I’ll be wearing them as a base layer under various other weights of snow/rain/and hiking pants.These are great/athletic pants that I’m glad I took a chance on. Great, vibrant color that is hard to find in Women’s clothing.I highly recommend for women athletes that are looking for base layers measure themselves against the chart and try these out, I didn’t think these would fit me at all, and they’re fantastic and high quality.
